The Advanced Guidance Scheme I for Converts for male converts, organised by the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) through the Converts Development Division (Tarbiyah Muallaf), began yesterday and is conducted simultaneously throughout the four districts.
The 14-day programme serves as a guide to new converts to deepen their knowledge of Islam particularly in performing their daily religious obligations. Sixty six new converts will attend the programme until June 8, during which they will learn about Tauhid, Fiqh Solat, Fiqh Haji, Fiqh Munakahat, Tasawwuf, Muqaddam and practical Islamic history.
Meanwhile, in efforts to look after the welfare of the converts, PDI has also provided several programmes such as ‘Introduction to Islam’, ‘Portable Guidance’, ‘Basic Guidance Scheme’, and ‘Advance Guidance Scheme I and II’.
Converts can also attend the converts guidance class every Friday in the Brunei-Muara and Tutong districts, while classes in Belait and Temburong districts will be carried out through an allocated timetable.
