650 high-achievers celebrated

A TOTAL of 650 students were presented awards and prizes for their outstanding academic achievements, during a ceremony at the Darussalam Hall of the Chung Hwa Middle School Bandar Seri Begawan (CHMS BSB) yesterday.

Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam Yu Hong, President of the Teng Yun Temple Lee Eng Ching and other invited guests presented awards and prizes to the recipients made up of kindergarten, primary, secondary and tertiary level students.

A handover of mock cheques from the Teng Yun Temple to several charities, including Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, Community Service Centre Seria, Chung Hwa School Tutong and CHMS BSB was also held.

The annual awards ceremony is a motivation for students to excel in their academic pursuits.
