Sixty-one blood donors comprising Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) officers and low rank personnel as well as Welfare Body of Police’s Wives and Families (PEKERTI) family members took part in a blood donation drive co-organised by PEKERTI and Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital at the Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium, Gadong Police Headquarters.

The spouse of the RBPF Deputy Commissioner Datin Sabrina Aziemah binti Abdullah Chong was in attendance in her capacity as the PEKERTI Chairwoman along with PEKERTI High Committee members.

The blood donation campaign this year themed ‘Donating blood can make a big difference to those in need’ hopes to create a sense of care as well as to inculcate the nature of charity by increasing the national blood reserve through the blood donation.

Meanwhile, the Blood Donation Centre, Department of Laboratory Services will organise three blood donation drives.

The campaigns will be at Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology, Medan Jaya Setia Berakas today from 10am to 2pm; at the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) Library in the Tutong District on Wednesday from 9am to noon; and at the DBP Library in Temburong District on Thursday.

Donors are advised to book slots via the BloodKad application.

The Blood Donation Centre also informed of the change in the centre’s hotline number. The numbers are 7440267 and 7440277.
