507kg of trash collected at coastal clean-up

Over 120 Progresif staff collected 507 kilogrammes of trash at Pantai Tanjung Batu, Muara in conjunction with International Coastal Clean-up Day.

The clean-up was in support of one of Progresif’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments, ‘Progress for the Environment’. Staff members collected 137 bags of trash ranging from plastic waste to discarded baby diapers.

Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation Acting Director Martinah binti Haji Tamit said it was, “a commendable initiative to foster a sense of shared responsibility towards a clean and safe environment”.

Progresif CEO Hajah Nurul Haniah binti Haji Mohd Jaafar in a speech said, “Progresif has always been committed to pursuing progress for the environment, and what better way to contribute than to clean up our beautiful coastline in solidarity with likeminded individuals doing the same thing across the world.”

Supporting environmental initiatives has been something Progresif has pursued passionately since its establishment in 2015.

Operating under the belief that industry and commerce should work in harmony with the natural world, Progresif takes every opportunity to put their words into action.
