50 newlyweds learn of marital roles

The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) yesterday held a two-day marriage course for 50 newlyweds in conjunction with the 50th golden jubilee celebration of the MoRA Tutong District Office building. The course was held at the Tutong Distict Office.

Head of Religious Officer in the Tutong District cum guest of honour Haji Azman bin Haji Musa presented a talk on the roles and responsibilities of husbands and wives, according to Islam.

Course facilitators comprised invited speakers from the Royal Brunei Police Force, Syariah Subordinate Court and the Family Counselling Service Division at the Syariah Affairs Department, MoRA.

The procedures and causes for divorce, laws on marriage abuse and techniques to manage issues were also discussed.

The event is one of the many programmes organised by MoRA, in collaboration with the Tutong District Family Advisory Services Unit.
