Over 60 volunteers collected 50 bags of trash in the Kuala Belait Light Industrial Area surroundings, as part of a cleaning campaign conducted by PTAS Aker Solutions yesterday.

The two-hour campaign was the company’s health, safety and environment initiative. It was also joined by seven partner organisations, including Adinin Works and Engineering Sdn Bhd, Baker Hughes EHO Ltd, Techoil Sdn Bhd, Tendrill Sdn Bhd, Petrokon Utama Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Haji Idris Kalong Sdn Bhd and Zainal Daud Sdn Bhd.

Volunteers were provided gloves, tongs, litter pickers, and safety vests.

“PTAS Aker Solutions is committed to working with our customers and partners to create a cleaner, safer and more sustainable future in our community,” said PTAS Aker Solutions’ business manager and campaign leader Lars Eirik Wathne.

“A clean environment ensures the health and safety of our community by reducing waste and pollution. We hope the cleaning campaign will inspire more organisations to join hands and take actions to protect the environment,” he said.
