Some 44 orphans in the Temburong District received Raya money and clothes from Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Raja Dato’ Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah during the annual Majlis Iftar and Santunan Kasih event at Belalong Hall, Mukim Bangar on Saturday.
The Malaysian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam collaborated with the Temburong District Office to organise the event in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.
The Malaysian high commissioner, his spouse Datin Roslina Ismail, as well as Firoz Jaya Silkhouse and Textile Managing Director Firoz Khan and spouse presented the donations.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Haji Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir and Acting Temburong District Officer Mohamad Yassin bin Haji Ahmed were also present. – Lyna Mohamad
