Singaporean High Commission in Brunei Darussalam presented 40 hampers to Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam yesterday to mark 40 years of diplomatic ties between Singapore and the Sultanate.
Singaporean High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Laurence Bay Siow Hon presented the hampers to member of Pusat Ehsan’s board of trustees Audrey Choo Wah.
The contribution of hampers underscored the high commission’s longstanding support for Pusat Ehsan and its mission as well as symbolised the enduring friendship and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
The diplomat said, “Ramadhan is an occasion for us to support organisations like Pusat Ehsan which plays an outstanding community role. The relationship between Brunei and Singapore touches the life of the people in both countries at all level of societies.”
He also commended Pusat Ehsan for its contributions in improving the lives of Bruneians with special needs and their families for over two decades. – James Kon
