Thirty-five pints of blood were collected through a blood drive organised by the Ministry of Education (MoE), through the Uniforms and Community Services Unit of the Department of Co-Curriculum Education, in collaboration with the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Donation Centre.

The 10am-3pm blood drive at Onecity Shopping Centre in Kampong Sungai Hanching was held to replenish national blood reserves, and at the same time raise public awareness on the benefits of donating blood and saving lives.

Sharijah Hazimah binti Haji Sharbini from the MoE told the Bulletin that it was her second time donating blood since 2020.

She lauded the move of conducting the campaign at a public venue, explaining that “it makes it easier for the public to participate”.

Meanwhile, seventh-timer Rizwan bin Ismail said this was his first contribution for 2022, adding that he regularly donates blood in response to the national call to increase blood reserves, and also to maintain good health.
