“This is my 11th time donating blood and I hope to be able to regularly do so,” said Tan during a blood donation drive Tokyo Hall, the Airport Mall in Berakas yesterday.

Meanwhile, Haji Safwan shared that it was his first time donating blood since 2012 and he felt good knowing he had helped to replenish the supply.

The event was organised by The Destination in collaboration with the Blood Donation Centre of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.

Thirty-three pints of bloods were collected during the five-hour campaign.

The Destination Operation Assistant Wajeh said the blood donation campaign served to introduce Tokyo Hall to the public while at the same time provide a platform for the public to make a difference. “Other than Tokyo Hall, there will be another two halls to house more customers. We will be introducing more offers at our event space and halls,” he added.

Meanwhile, JhenzTech Enterprise General Manager Liaw Chuen Haj said the blood drive was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR). “We are always looking for ways to give back to society, and the cooperation with RIPAS Hospital and the management of The Destination, supporting them by giving out vouchers and free photo booth sessions at the event hall,” he said.
