Thirty-two teams from both league and non-league clubs will be participating in the Brunei FA Cup 2022, kicking off on August 6.

Brunei FA Cup Champions from 2019 Kota Ranger FC have been drawn in Group ‘C’ alongside Brunei Super League (BSL) rivals Wijaya FC, Bang Dalam FC and Almerez FA.

Serial cup winners MS ABDB are in Group ‘B’ alongside Bakes FC, HR FT and Hawa FT. DPMM FC, who are winners in 2004 and will be among the favourites, are in Group ‘E’ alongside IKLS-MB5 FC, Nelayan FT and Seri Wira.

Admirul Redstar FC will be replacing Pertama FC from the Tutong District following their withdrawal from the competition.

Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) President Pengiran Haji Matusin bin Pengiran Haji Matasan called for the clubs to provide the best competition so they can identify players to represent the national team.

The winner of the Brunei FA Cup will act as the country’s representative in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup next year.
