Around 300 people attended the mass Subuh prayer at Kampong Perpindahan Mata-Mata Mosque yesterday, as part of the Wira Fajar Programme for Youth.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin was present.
Also present were Permanent Secretaries of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), as well as officers and staff from the MCYS and departments under it, mosque Takmir committee members, youth associations and movements, mosque youth, and the residents of Kampong Perpindahan Mata-Mata.
The mass Subuh prayers were led by Mosque Affairs Officer Anuar bin Haji Salim, after which a Tazkirah on youth and leadership was delivered by Religious Teacher and Researcher at the Religious Department of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JAMA’AT) under the Ministry of Defence (MinDef) Pengiran Ahmad Hassanuddin bin Pengiran Tejudin.
The programme then continued with the recitation of Surah Al-Kahfi and a Doa led by Mosque Youth Secretary of Kampong Perpindahan Mata-Mata Mosque Muhammad Naim bin Haji Omarali, before concluding with the Sunnat Dhuha prayer.
The event was organised by the MCYS, in collaboration with MoRA’s Mosque Affairs Department and Islamic Da’wah Centre, as well as mosque youth. The programme is also being held in other districts, to encourage youth attendance at mosques and engaging them in beneficial activities.
