The second phase of Brunei Darussalam’s COVID-19 vaccination programme will begin on June 21, focussing on teachers, childcare staff and adults at high risk or suffering from chronic diseases.
“Bookings for vaccination slots can be made through the BruHealth app, from June 16,” said the Ministry of Health (MoH) in a statement yesterday.
“The MoH is reminding the public to make sure that their BruHealth accounts have been authenticated, if they have not done so already; and to update personal information (identity card number, telephone and address) in their Bru-HIMS accounts at government clinics or hospitals.”
Meanwhile, the first phase of the programme is still ongoing and will run concurrently with the second phase.
The MoH’s statistics cite that 62,343 individuals have already been vaccinated, as of June 13, with 42,264 in Brunei-Muara District, 8,272 in Tutong District, 7,942 in Belait District and 3,865 in Temburong District.
