Two hundred and sixty-nine trainees comprising students from iSkill cohorts 4 and 5 under the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) participated in the Self-Identity programme at the National Service Programme (PKBN) Training Camp in Batu Apoi, Temburong District that started on August 31.
The 90-day programme is part of the iSkill Industrial Skills Qualification (ISQ) programme, encompassing blasting and painting, marking and fitting, rigging and scaffolding under IBTE.
The Self-Identity programme is a collaborative effort between the Manpower Planning and Employment Council Secretariat, IBTE and National Service Division. The event also featured video presentation of the previous cohort of trainees who successfully completed their programme. The ceremony also saw a pledge by the trainees.
Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the Ministry of Education Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad was the guest of honour. – Rokiah Mahmud
