Twenty-six participants who completed a two-day funeral management workshop at the Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Masque in Kampong Bebatik, Kilanas on August 20 and 21 received certificates yesterday.
The workshop was organised by the Mosque Affairs Department in collaboration with Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque Takmir Committee members.
Acting Assistant Director of Mosque Affairs Department Pengiran Haji Haslin bin Pengiran Haji Ali, the guest of honour, presented the certificates. Among the objectives of the workshop were to produce a new generation to carry out funeral management, to adapt the knowledge among the community, instill a sense of responsibility as well as build trust in the community in conducting funeral management.
According to an officer from the Mosque Affairs Department Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdul Ghani the participants expressed gratitude for organising the workshop.
He said the workshop was the first session conducted by the Mosque Affairs Department and more are planned for other districts.
