Twenty-five orphans and single mothers received daily food necessities and green packets during a sungkai and infaq ceremony hosted by the Women’s Business Council (WBC) and Prihatin at the Coconut Bay Lodge in Jalan Beribi yesterday.
WBC Vice President Hajah Mordiah binti Haji Jackia said this is the first time that WBC and Prihatin were organising the event together.
She hoped the donation will help ease burden of the underprivileged families, especially during the month of Ramadhan.
WBC President Datin Paduka Hajah Rokiah binti Haji Zakiah was also present. – James Kon
