Twenty-four family heads received financial aid from the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports premises.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad presented the donations.
The families were victims of disasters such as flood, landslide, house fire, house collapse and house destroyed by strong wind.
Thirteen officers and personnel from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) also received recognition for their collaboration with the Community Development Department in repairing houses under the department’s Bersepadu and Titian Amal projects, in conjunction with RBAF’s 61st anniversary.
