The Syariah Affairs Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) through the Halal Food Control Division (BKMH) organised a slaughtering course at the Tutong District Religious Affairs office, recently.
The 22 participants comprised officers from the BKMH and Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali students under the industrial attachment of the BKMH.
Among the course’s objective was to enhance knowledge on the process and right techniques of slaughtering according to Syara’.
The exposure which included law and skills could assist and improve the participants’ duties during audits at slaughtering houses and centres, locally and abroad. – Rokiah Mahmud
