The schools’ principals and representatives attended the virtual event.

Baiduri Bank Chief Executive Officer Ti Eng Hui said the initiative first began 20 years ago during the Chinese New Year celebrations and has been an ongoing initiative ever since.

“Over the years, we have been able to support hundreds of students to continue their studies with the aim to motivate them to achieve academic excellence and contribute back to society with their knowledge and skills.”

Baiduri Bank has also contributed 100 brand new laptops to the Ministry of Education (MoE) for home learning during the pandemic. He also hoped that events such as these would inspire others to come forward and help those in need.
