21 startups complete business programme

A virtual demo day on Friday marked the conclusion of the eighth Accelerate programme, a Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) startup bootcamp.

Some 21 startups from a range of industries participated in the 100-day Accelerate programme and demo day that served as a networking event between potential business partners and investors to explore market access and financing.

The programme was held virtually and it guided startups to make scalable products and brainstorm solutions ready for investment and market exposure.

Accelerate included workshops and classes covering different aspect of business operations and strategies.

The participants also talked to consultants and networked with local and international mentors and coaches.

Over 150 startups joined Accelerate since 2017 and it has collectively raised more than BND2 million in investment and created over 500 jobs.

It is one of two business bootcamp programmes run by DARe to help early-stage enterprises with different aspirations gain the fundamentals to start, run, and grow their businesses.
