Two foreign workers found violating Employment Order

Two foreign workers found not performing a job as stated in their Foreign Worker Licences during an operation, Operasi Sanggah 220/2020 conducted by officers from the Enforcement Division of Labour Department at Kampong Sungai Belukut, Kota Batu on November 5.

The officers started the patrol at 9am where they came across two foreign workers doing door-to-door grass-cutting services.

Meanwhile, the employers are reminded that they are liable to a compound fine of BND600 for a first offence and BND900 for a second offence, if found violating Foreign Worker Licences.

The Labour Department reminded employers to abide by the Employment Order 2009 such as preparing contracts, timely salary payments and allocation of comfortable and
clean quarters.
