Thai ambassador visits Tutong to deepen ties

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam Wanthanee Viputwongsakul made a working visit to key areas in the Tutong District recently.

The envoy first visited One Village One Product Weekly Market at Pasarneka and Tamu Tutong Complex where she was introduced to local products.

This was followed by a visit to Keriam Primary School, one of the selected model inclusive schools in the district.

The ambassador also met the recipient of the Princess Maha Chakri Award 2015, Hajah Ratnawati bin Haji Mohammad. She then visited the Tutong District Office where she was briefed on the mission and vision of the department by Acting Tutong District Officer Ajmin bin Haji Meludin.

After lunch, the ambassador visited Tasek Merimbun, an ASEAN Heritage Park and toured the popular butterfly garden.

The Thai envoy also visited Lamin Warisan for a traditional food demo before concluding the working visit to Seri Kenangan Beach.

The full day tour also saw the Thai Ambassador and key officials from the district exchanging gifts.

The visit was hoped to further deepen existing relationships, particularly in sectors such as education, tourism, agriculture and research.
