Savouring a taste of Dusun delicacies, culture

Homestay Alai Gayoh Anak Pulau (HAGAP) yesterday turned the spotlight on local Dusun delicacies at the Sang Jati Brunei Cuisines event.

Activities included a cooking demonstration on nubur lopot, apam and tumpi natok.

Visitors had the opportunity to take a closer look at Dusun traditions and culture, and experience their traditional dance and musical instruments.

According to Eyad Samhan bin Nyawa, the event helped promote domestic tourism and allowed the elder generations to share knowledge and skills with the public.

The event was held as preparations for the ‘Festival Sajian Tujuh Puak Di Brunei’ (scheduled for February 2021) which requires every ethnic group to prepare traditional delicacies for the festival.
