A 28-year-old local man who stole an iPhone 6s was sentenced to four months’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Prosecutor Syafina binti Abdul Hadzid revealed in court that Mohamed Arif bin Norhamdi Syukri rode his bike to a convenience store in Ban 3, Sengkurong at noon on October 17.
He saw a car in the car park and the driver going into a shop lot leaving the car unlocked.
He looked through the window and saw a mobile phone on the passenger seat, opened the door and took it.
He sold the phone and got BND45 which he spent on drugs. Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid presided over the case.
