The Knowledge Convention 2020 will be held in a special format unlike previous years, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and the accompanying Ministry of Health (MoH) guidelines in place.
The main event of the Knowledge Convention 2020 is a special talk on December 1, in addition to several sectoral events in the form of talks throughout December 2020 until March 2021.
This was highlighted by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud at the First Steering Committee Meeting for the Knowledge Convention 2020 yesterday to mark His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 74th birthday celebration.
Jointly chairing the meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) were Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah.
The event is jointly organised by the PMO, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and Ministry of Health (MoH). This year it carries the theme ‘Grateful for the Blessings of Health as a Gift of Allah’.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar and Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman; and Deputy State Mufti Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Japar bin Haji Mat Dain @ Maidin attended the event as co-deputy chairpersons.
Permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, senior government officers at the PMO, MoRA and MoH also attended.
