Failing to give way to ambulances an offence: MoH

James Kon

Drivers failing to give way to ambulances travelling on the road with the siren on, are committing an offence under Chapter 68 of the Road Traffic Act, and are subjected to a compound fine or produced in court to be fined no more than BND400, the Ministry of Health (MoH) stated yesterday.

The warning was issued after a driver was slapped with a BND100 compound fine for failing to give way to an ambulance transporting a patient to the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital on November 4.
