Crown Prince receives Singapore Deputy PM

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office received in audience Republic of Singapore Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies and Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat yesterday.

His Royal Highness and the Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies and Minister for Finance discussed bilateral issues to strengthen ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore, as well as exchanged views on regional and international matters, including the sharing of experiences in handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

Accompanying Heng Swee Keat was Republic of Singapore Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Second Minister for Education Dr Mohamad Maliki bin Osman.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah and Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof were also present.

Following the audience, His Royal Highness consented to host a luncheon in honour of Heng Swee Keat’s visit to Brunei Darussalam.

Accompanying the deputy prime minister were Dr Mohamad Maliki and High Commissioner of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam Lim Hong Huai.

Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew and Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan were present at the luncheon.

Both events took place at Qashr Al-Meezaan.
