Scores of visitors visited the inaugural Borneo Bulletin Yearbook (BBYB) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Showcase on its second day at One Riverside in Jalan Gadong yesterday.
Khairul Anwar bin Rosly, a visitor, commented that the event is a perfect venue for those looking for inspiration, especially budding entrepreneurs. “This is the place where you can go and seek inspiration and learn from established local MSMEs taking part here,” he added.
Another visitor, Firdaus Ibrahim, said the event was not something that he has seen here before, and is a creative way to let people come and support, and learn from local MSMEs.
The three-day event, a community-based project made possible through partnerships between leading local corporations, was launched on Friday and is geared towards providing a platform for MSMEs to showcase their products and services to the public.
It is also aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship and engaging MSMEs to learn, improve processes and have further insights into financial management. Over 20 MSMEs are participating in the BBYB MSME Showcase that features food, coffee, fashion, telco solutions and made-in-Brunei products, among others.
At the showcase, entrepreneurs can learn more on financial management and solutions to boost their business activities by using digital platforms offered by Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), while imagine is also at the showcase offering a range of telco and digital solutions for businesses that would like to reach a wider market.
Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB)’s Pelangi FM is also hosting a deejay audition for individuals keen on joining their team of radio presenters. The showcase is supported by BIBD, imagine, DARe (Darussalam Enterprise), One Riverside, RTB, Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata.
