Badminton coaching course ensures quality

The Brunei Darussalam National Badminton Association (BDNBA) in cooperation with the Department of Youth and Sports under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports is holding a Badminton World Federation (BWF) Level 1 Coach Education course until November 14.

The course themed ‘Focus on Principles of Coaching’, provides ‘best practice’ resources and courses to ensure the quality and growth of badminton coaching at all levels.

Seven participants comprising individuals with basic badminton skills participated in the course at the Multi-purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex.

BWF tutor coach Mohd Zuno Kartono bin Haji Ali conducted the course. The BWF Level 1 qualification is a globally recognised qualification among badminton communities.

Participants will learn the principles of basic coaching through 13 modules and will be able to demonstrate basic coaching competencies to deliver, review and evaluate effective training sessions.
