Awards for Maktab Duli’s top performers

Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College (Maktab Duli) held an Academic Award event at Peak Performance Sdn Bhd recently.

Acting Principal Hajah Monaliza binti Haji Abdul Halim congratulated students and lecturers for their hard work.

There were five categories for the Academic Awards – Cambridge GCE A-Level Oct/Nov 2019; Special Mention Award by Subjects in Brunei-Cambridge GCE A-Level October/November 2019; Top Most Achievement Hostelite Award in Brunei-Cambridge GCE A-Level October/November 2019; Top Overall Award for AS-Level End of Year Examination 2019; and Special Mention Award by Subjects in AS-Level End of Year Examination 2019.

Twenty-five students received the Outstanding Achievement Award in the Brunei-Cambridge GCE A-Level for October/November 2019. Most notably, Riaz Jiffry Noorul Haq achieved four A-levels with the highest accumulated tariff points of 560, whereas Vibhusha Selvam Vinothini, Damien Beckhem Chung Wen Jei, Liew Teck Hua and Irdina Firzanah binti Dr Haji Ashri achieved four A-levels with the accumulated tariff points of 540.

Twenty-six more received the Special Mention Award by Subject in the Brunei-Cambridge GCE A-Level for October/November 2019, and three students were awarded the Top Most Achievement Hostellite Award in the Brunei Cambridge A-Level for October/November 2019.

Six students received the Top Overall Award for AS-Level End of Year Examination in 2019 ‘Top Accumulated Tariff Points’ and 34 obtained the Special Mention Award by subjects in the AS-Level End of Year Examination in 2019.

The final category was the Outstanding Department Award for the subject department with the best achievements.

Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) Chairman cum guest of honour Haji Mohammad Soffian bin Haji Umar presented the awards.

Also in attendance were senior officials from the Ministry of Education (MoE), a representative from Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings, PIBG members, parents, students and lecturers of the college.
