Alcohol smuggling attempt foiled, drug paraphernalia seized

Temburong Police District personnel foiled an attempt to smuggle 624 cans of beer into the country during a patrol in Kampong Buda-Buda, Temburong District on November 9.

Temburong Police District Acting Commanding Officer ASP Pengiran Anak Haji Azanuddin Aman Shah bin Pengiran Anak Ismail Al-Haj said the patrol came across a suspicious vehicle parked near the village’s boat landing area at around 8pm.

A search revealed several cartons of beer of various brands, along with objects believed to be drug paraphernalia.

The seized items and the vehicle were brought to the Temburong Police Station and handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for investigation.
