The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) recently held a briefing session for 28 of its public relations (PR) officers, to provide them with a better understanding of their mission, duties
and responsibilities.

The session began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, which was followed with a welcoming speech by Head of the Public Relations Division at MoRA Ariffin bin Dato Paduka Haji Abu Bakar.

Participants were briefed on ‘The Future of Public Relations’ by Nurulhuda binti Haji Adinin and on ‘Preparing a Press Release’ by Education Officer at MoRA Razali bin Haji Mahal.

The briefing also highlighted the use of press releases, photos, book publications, videos and social media in enhancing the ministry’s public and corporate profile.

In Brunei Darussalam, PR is among the several efforts to boost public awareness and understanding on government ministries or departments, through the dissemination of accurate, transparent, fast and responsible information.
