Visit to Belait longhouses strengthens ties

The Belait District Branch of the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) organised a Muhibah visit to Apak-Apak Longhouse and Bang Taong Longhouse in the rural area of Belait District on Saturday.

The contingent, led by PDI Assistant Director Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdul Kahar, comprised members from the PDI, Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Dakwah Unit in the Belait District; as well as members from the Belait District Branch of the Religious Office.

The visit aimed to strengthen ties between the PDI with residents of long houses.

The contingent provided guidance in a more natural and informal setting at the residences of the new convert residing in longhouses; on the ways of conducting prayers, Wudhu, and Taharah. The contingent also handed over gifts to the new converts.

Head of Religious Officer for the Belait District Mohamad Aliyani bin Ismail, and Head of Da’wah Unit for the Belait District Zikrinaidah binti Haji Mat Dikir were also present.
