Visit connects PGGMB members with Temburong communities

Thirty-two Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) members led by its President Haji Yussof bin Haji Mohamad yesterday visited Temburong District as part of the association’s annual activities.

The visit, arranged with the coordination of administrative members of the association in the district, aimed at understanding the culture, food and business activities of various communities.

The group visited the Kampong Puni Community Hall and was welcomed by Penghulu of Mukim Bangar Haji Abdul Rahman bin Merusin, and Acting Village Head of Kampong Puni Hashawari bin Haji Abdul Rahman.

The delegation was briefed on the production of salted duck eggs by members of the Kampong Puni Village Consultative Council.

The group also visited Kampong Sibut Longhouse and was welcomed by a member of the Iban community at the longhouse.

Delegation members bought local vegetables, fruits and handicraft products made by the longhouse community before visiting Kampong Menengah, Mukim Bangar.

There the group was welcomed by Village Head of Kampong Menengah Ampuan Husin bin Ampuan Haji Mohd Tahir. The delegation concluded their trip at Bukit Patoi Recreational Park.
