His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik delivered a sabda in his capacity as the Chairman of the Committee of Governors of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, which was broadcast via a video presentation during the Doa Kesyukuran ceremony held yesterday, to mark the 28th anniversary of the establishment of Yayasan.

In the sabda, His Royal Highness expressed thankfulness at being able to continue the honourable intentions of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in ensuring the welfare and well-being of the citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam through various contributions and assistance provided by Yayasan.

“I believe that the steps which are being taken in advancing the cooperation network with various government and private sectors, including non-governmental organisations (NGOs), will provide more synergy in further achieving the vision, mission and goals of the Yayasan Strategic Plan of 2020-2025 towards generating a Masyarakat Mandiri and achieving Brunei Vision 2035,” said His Royal Highness.

“All of these are key factors in realising His Majesty’s honourable intentions towards strengthening integrity through a ‘Whole-of-Nation’ approach, to prevent wastage, overlapping and duplication in providing the assistance. With this, the paradigm shift in Yayasan’s administrative management and services, by means of creativity and adaptability through the implementation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, needs to be further enhanced, to produce an effective impact towards broadening its outreach approaches, especially towards targetted groups.”

In concluding the sabda, His Royal Highness said, “As the Chairman of the Committee of Governors of Yayasan, by the grace of Allah the Almighty and in upholding the honourable intentions of His Majesty, I will continue the efforts in facing upcoming challenges with more proactive, creative, innovative and integrative efforts, together with the members of Yayasan.”
