Prayer held for students’ success

The Curahan Ilmu Programme children were urged to seek blessings from their parents, guardians and teachers to excel in the Primary School Assessment (PSR) examinations.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin made these comments during a Sunnat Hajat prayer event for Year 6 students at the Youth Development Centre (PBB) multipurpose hall yesterday.

It was organised by the Youth Community Transformation Club (KKBT) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Brunei-Muara District Office.

The minister also expressed appreciation to the teachers, parents and guardians for motivating and supporting students.

The event began with a mass Sunnat Hajat prayer led by Sofiyan bin Haji Abdul Kahar followed by a recitation of Surah Yaasiin and special Doa for the PSR examination preparation.

The Curahan Ilmu Programme is a free tuition class for Year 6 students of RPN Kampong Panchor Mengkubau. It is jointly conducted by the Community and Public Relations Bureau of RPN Kampong Panchor Mengkubau Village Consultative Council (MPK) and Teachmeguru.

Some 53 children enrolled in the programme this year.

Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Mohamed bin Pengiran Haji Osman @ Othman, Brunei-Muara District Officer Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, government officers, members of the MPK RPN Kampong Panchor Mengkubau as well as parents and gaurdians were also present.
