The second intake of the Gol Brasil Futsal Coaching Community Certificate Course drew from the success of the first intake in August 2019 at the Dato Mohd Yassin Primary School in Mentiri.
Haji Puspa plans to contribute their efforts to the existing initiatives of the national governing body to supplement them with a pool of coaches for their FIFA and AFC futsal coaching courses as well as to represent the country.
The Gol Brasil futsal instructor shared the early beginnings of the futsal course in 2017 under Puspa United Academy (PUA), which was attended by 13 people.
To date, there are 26 coaches who are capable of organising grassroots and youth futsal leagues as well as nine who are working their way towards becoming a coach. He also revealed plans to host an international seminar which would have attracted 24 countries. The COVID-19 pandemic pushed the event to next year.
The practical session of the course will see coaches learning the principles of dribbling skills pertaining to basic, functional and advance steps and principles of ball control including the right approach to receiving and turning.
