Over 100 jobs up for grabs at JCB Recruitment Day this Saturday

JobCentre Brunei (JCB) will organise a Recruitment Day from 9am to noon and from 1.30pm to 4pm on October 24 at the Community Hall Complex of the Temburong District Office.

The Recruitment Day aims to increase the public’s awareness on the current available vacancies in the private sector as well as JCB’s roles and services in assisting local jobseekers in securing jobs.

The event will feature walk-in interviews by participating companies including Massutera Engineering Sdn Bhd, Sim Kim Huat Trading Co Sdn Bhd, OTCInc Sdn Bhd, Megalift Sdn Bhd, Brunei Transporting Company and Kaizen Sushi.

The participating companies will offer more than 100 vacancies. Local jobseekers are encouraged to grab the opportunities offered during the event and reminded to bring their CVs and relevant documents for the walk-in interviews. It is also an opportunity to build networks with the participating companies.

During the event, the public will also be able to access and get information on JCB’s services, including registration into the JCB portal as well the i-Ready Apprenticeship Programme.

The Manpower Planning and Employment Council (MPEC) Secretariat will also be present during the event to share their ongoing initiatives and programmes as well as key information and updates on the latest available jobs for the next five years.

Their showcase will include information on the SkillsPlus Programme and the Continuing Education Programme (CET) in the hospitality sector.

JCB’s last organised the event on September 3 at Kuala Belait with more than 800 visitors attending.

To date, 107 locals were successfully hired after that event.

In adherence to the COVID-19 preventative measures set by the Ministry of Health, visitors have been reminded to practise social distancing and to scan the BruHealth QR code prior to entering the hall. Entrance to the hall will be limited to 350 people at any one time. The public is also required to comply with the safety measures at the premises.
