No new COVID-19 case recorded

Following the announcement of a new import case on Thursday, Brunei Darussalam has two active COVID-19 cases receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC).

Meanwhile, the country reported no new COVID-19 case yesterday and there has been no local transmission of COVID-19 for 170 days since May 6. The national tally of confirmed cases in the country is 148.

The latest information of the COVID-19 situation in Brunei Darussalam as of noon yesterday was shared by the Ministry of Health (MoH) in its daily release.

The MoH has also taken 321 samples for SARS-CoV-2 testing in the past 24 hours, and carried out 66,268 tests for it since January.

Two hundred and eighty-two individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad, while 7,295 have completed the self-isolation at monitoring centres since March.

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 114 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 28 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
