International School Brunei (ISB) celebrated Wellbeing Week on September 28 – October 2 to highlight the importance of mental and physical well-being.
The school organised activities centred around well-being and mindfulness participated by students and teachers across the campus, including yoga, mandala colouring, circuit fitness and many others.
The school was also treated to a demonstration by the Brunei Wushu Federation team.
Young learners in Reception and KS1 (Key Stage 1) had separate daily activities run by the teachers and the Primary Student Council which include a special yoga session for children taught by a certified Yoga instructor from Fitness Zone Brunei.
The school held a non-uniform day with the theme ‘Go Green and Wear Funky Socks’ to support mental health.
Education about mental health and well-being is an integral part of the ISB curriculum and during Wellbeing Week, the school highlighted and raised awareness on being kind to oneself and to others.
