Four years’ jail for two men in Kuala Lurah killing 

Two men linked to the Kuala Lurah killing were sentenced to four years’ jail by the Chief Justice following their guilty pleas yesterday, to be backdated from the day they were first remanded.

Chief Justice Dato Seri Paduka Steven Chong, sitting with Judge Judge Muhammed Faisal bin Pehin Datu Juragan Laila Diraja Colonel (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Kefli, gave consideration to the defendants’ culpability on handing sentence. However, they also observed the instant guilty pleas toward the charges of culpable homicide by Yusree bin Haji Ya’akub @ Yakub, 38, and abetment of culpable homicide for Supariddin bin Haji Mat Jinin, 45.
