Foreign envoys send condolence messages

Condolence messages from foreign missions in Brunei Darussalam to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam continued to pour in yesterday on the passing away of Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim on October 24.

EMBASSY OF THE KINGDOM OF CAMBODIA

Ambassador of Cambodia to Brunei Darussalam Hok Sophea said, “On behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia, I would like to convey deepest condolences to His Majesty, members of the royal family as well as the government and people of Brunei Darussalam on the passing away of Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim.

“This is a huge loss and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim’s life will be remembered for the devotion to help the vulnerable people as well as his passion for arts. He will be dearly missed by the Bruneian people.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with members of the royal family at this moment of grief.”

ROYAL THAI EMBASSY

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam Wanthanee Viputwongsakul said, “On behalf of the Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai community in Brunei Darussalam, I extend our deepest condolences to His Majesty on the passing away of Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim. We join together with the people of Brunei in offering our prayers during this period of national mourning.”

CHINESE EMBASSY IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

People’s Republic of China Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Yu Hong extended deepest condolences in person to senior officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam. The Chinese Embassy in Brunei Darussalam also sent an official note to the ministry to express the deepest condolences and sympathy on the passing away of Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim.

“The embassy said it stands with the Government and people of Brunei Darussalam during this difficult time.”
