Firefighters remove four-metre long python from car engine bay

A four-metre long python hiding under the front bonnet of a vehicle parked outside a house in Kampong Tasek Meradun was removed by firefighters after responding to a distress call at 8.31am.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD), four firefighters from the Bandar Seri Begawan Fire Station led by Acting ASO Noor Erawan bin Haji Metusin rushed to the scene on receiving the call.

The firefighters who found the snake inside the engine bay of the vehicle, removed the snake and released it into the wilderness.

The public is urged to ensure that their home environment is clean and tidy and keep the doors and windows shut if no one is at home to prevent wild animals entering.

The public is also urged to not approach or threaten wild animals.
