Curtains drop on Dikir Maulud in Belait

A closing ceremony was held on Wednesday to mark the end of the 12-night Dikir Maulud in the Belait District.

Belait District Officer Ramlee bin Haji Jamudin attended the event at the Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Kuala Belait on Wednesday. Head of Religious Officer in the Belait District Mohamad Aliyani bin Ismail, government officials, mukim penghulus, village heads, mosque Takmir committee members and residents from the surrounding area also attended.

The event began with mass Maghrib prayer, followed by a Tahlil ceremony for Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim, and the recitation of the Dikir Syarafil Anam.

Following a break to observe mass Isyak prayers, the ceremony continued with the recitation of Dikir Asyaraqal, before concluding with a Doa Dikir led by Mosque Affairs Officer Akup bin Haji Lamat.
