China’s air passenger volume improves in September

BEIJING (XINHUA) – China’s civil aviation sector recovered in September as key indicators reported visible improvements, data from the country’s aviation regulator showed.

Airlines flew a total of 47.75 million passengers on domestic flights, up from the previous month and representing about 98 per cent of the volume registered in the same period last year, according to data from the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

The air cargo volume reached 665,000 tonnes last month, 96.4 per cent of the volume registered in September last year, the data showed.
