The Brunei National Road Safety Council (MKKJR) held a Sunnat Hajat prayer ceremony, recitation of Ratib Al-Attas and a mass Asar prayer at the Brunei International Airport Surau on Thursday.
The event was held to seek the protection of Allah the Almighty against plague and diseases, especially the COVID-19 epidemic, as well as to pray for the safety of road users.

MKKJR members, heads of departments, senior officers, officers and staff of the MTIC, its departments and authorities also attended.
MKKJR urged road users to recite a prayer before starting their journey, to increase vigilance while driving and to also practise prudent driving habits.
Drivers were also urged to keep safety in mind, buckle up and not use their mobile phones while driving, as well as adhere to the speed limit and traffic regulations.
The public is also advised to service their vehicles at Land Transport Department accredited workshops to prevent vehicle fires.
