Australia’s Victoria reports 800th COVID-19 death

SYDNEY (CNA) – Australia’s coronavirus hotspot state Victoria reported its 800th death from the virus yesterday, but low case numbers raised the prospect of a “COVID-normal” 2021 without lockdowns or social restrictions, said the state premier.

According to Australia’s Department of Health website, Victoria has reported a total of 20,169 COVID-19 cases as of September 30.
