The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) concluded its series of eCommerce workshops for village consultative councils (MPK) members in the Tutong District.
The programme was aimed at providing participants with online business opportunities through e-commerce to expand market outreach and revenue growth. The participants were taught basic e-commerce activities including the use of digital applications and commercialisation of products in the online marketplace.
The four-day workshop began on September 30 with sharing sessions by local e-commerce platform providers and vendors – HeyDomo, Community for Brunei and Oliz_onigiri – an online safety talk by ITPSS Sdn Bhd, and a briefing on local business support programmes by DARe (Darussalam Enterprise).
Participants also learnt about the fundamentals of digital marketing including basic photo editing and social media marketing. The workshop was facilitated by TechOne Solutions Sdn Bhd and supported by the Tutong District Office under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The programme will be extended to other MPKs throughout the nation. It is hoped that participants can join local e-commerce platforms to promote and sell their MPK products and/or services.
