Two drunk drivers arrested

BUTTERWORTH (BERNAMA) – Two men were detained for drunk driving in an operation by the Malaysian police yesterday.

Seberang Perai Utara (SPU) District Police Chief ACP Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the drunk drivers, aged 51 and 33, were detained at Jalan Chain Ferry and Butterworth Outer Ring Road, Malaysia. Breathalyser test conducted on them found alcohol in their blood to be above the permitted level, he told reporters.

He said the two men, who are now in remand, were among 200 motorists inspected during the operation which ended at 6am.
