Parents across the country are making full use of school holidays to spend quality time with their families by visiting places of interest in the Sultanate.

Over the weekend, some 200 people took up various packages offered by Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd including Berambang island and hiking tour, island discovery, river cruise, Tutong and Labi culture tour and mangrove river tour.

Berambang island and hiking tour to Bukit Bujang Pahang is a nature destination to one of the biggest island along the Brunei River.

The hike takes visitors on a journey through historic coal mines, rock formations with legendary tales and a breath-taking view of the rainforests.

The island discovery package features a three-hour boat ride to beautiful islands that come with unique folklores, while river cruise offers a two-hour boat cruise along Brunei River to soak in the view of iconic landmarks such as the Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge, Kampong Ayer, Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque and Jong Batu.

Tutong and Labi culture tour provides the public an opportunity to learn about the Iban community in the Belait District while the mangrove river tour features a cruise along Brunei River, from the jetty at the waterfront, meandering past Kampong Ayer and Istana Nurul Iman.

The boat also makes a few stopovers at the mangrove to observe proboscis monkeys, crocodiles and various species of birds.
